I use mine regularly not just with Vegas Pro 16, but also After Effects, Cinema 4D and DaVinci Resolve to name a few. The driver software (it is USB based) comes with a swag of presets for a variety of applications, and you can either use these, modify them to your taste or start from scratch. The larger side buttons are Set In point and Set Out point and the bottom 4 are:įrom this, you may have guessed that any application can be used with the Shuttlepro 2 and you’d be pretty well right. Each of the top rows, bottom rows and buttons on the side are programmable to your choice of application command.įor example, my top row (for Vegas Pro 16) are set for: iv always used the contour shuttle express within premiere pro and its worked perfectly but iv been trying to set a key on my shuttle to make a cut on the time line instead of using the razer tool and the mouse. Add frame-by-frame control to your existing NLE system with the black ShuttlePRO v2 multimedia controller from Contour Design. The central jog wheel allows fast jogging through clips whilst the inner (chrome) wheel lets you move frame by frame back and forth along the timeline. The attached image shows pretty much what the Shuttlepro 2 looks like, but to do it the proper justice, it needs a further explanation. When necessary I can also then use either hand for keyboard shortcuts not programmed in to the Shuttlepro 2. The Shuttlepro 2 has speeded up my editing fivefold at least, and allowed me to create a smooth workflow that alternates between the mouse (a Logitech Vertical MX is my mouse of choice due to its superb ergonomics, especially important when you have a buggered right wrist) and the Shuttlepro 2 in my left hand. ![]() It is my Contour Shuttlepro 2 that I have been using for more than 15 years now. Not even Adobe Photoshop or MAGIX Xara is included. Mac : Dragonframe cannot be opened because of a problem. ![]() Nor is it Adobe After Effects, or ProDAD Heroglyph or Mercalli or any other plugins for that matter. Message: The DMX program has channels that are out of range for the current. You see, it is not Vegas Pro 16, my editor of choice, or Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve (my second choice but number one for colour correction of course). prefs file in the zip I linked to do overcome these problems, AFAIK.Whenever anyone asks me what my most important tool is when editing, they are more often than not very surprised by my response. I have to agree with VinceEFX: we paid for this product, and it's quite absurd that we have to go through this half-baked rigmarole to get it to work. If it's greyed out, click 'Change settings for all users' and tick the box from there. Tick the box 'Run this program as an administrator'. RT cemaxecuter: Trying out BatchDrake SigDigger’s new plug-in w/ both signal and noise probes opened up while using the SDRPlay RSPdx. Right click on ShuttleHelper.exe and go to the Compatibility tab. In particular there are the Contour Shuttle Express, Pro and Pro V2 available from many ham radio stores or online. Again, it would take just a few minutes to put up a page with the correct drivers, a sensible preferences file and some instructions. Navigate to the Contour Shuttle folder in Program Files (x86). My ShuttlePro came with *no* documentation at all, and on the Lightworks website there is *nothing* on the subject. ![]() There is no need for this nonsense - all you need is a short file with just the KB preferences, and it takes five minutes to edit that by hand. ![]() The bad news is that, three months after I spent most of a day debugging this, interacted with Lightworks Support, and sent corrected files, the Preferences file *still* overwrites your preferences for *everything else* as well as the ShuttlePro, including filling your machine with huge amounts of dross referring to directory paths on a Customer Support machine that *you don't have* and which stop things working until you work out what is going on. The goodish news is that the latest Contour driver does now have an entry for Editshare Lightworks that mainly works, although the shuttle *still* doesn't play at 1x speed in either direction, and it overrides some of the standard keyboard behaviour for no reason (it can be mapped to keys that don't interfere.) It's a while since I had to deal with this last, so I just did an install from cold on another computer.
